NATO HQ

The international design competition for the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Headquarters required the inclusion of diverse elements – including a conference centre, office square and social and public infrastructure – for a variety of users, under one roof and with a strong global form. This winning entry by the SOM team, led by Michel Mossessian, accommodates numerous types of spaces and uses of space in an elegant structure which is both easy to navigate and symbolically significant.
